Downtown is where most of Pittsburgh's big indoor events happen: shows at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center, meetings and parties in the Golden Triangle's hotel ballrooms, and receptions at The Pennsylvanian. We freight a live printing station in and print shirts, caps and merch in front of your guests, about two minutes a piece.
Downtown jobs run on paperwork. At the convention center the show's contractor controls move-in, electrical and material handling, so the power order and the dock window get settled weeks ahead. Hotels are simpler, but ask whether the ballroom circuit is shared with catering. PPG Paints Arena sits just uphill from Downtown, and its suites suit a smaller build.
Stations that fit a Downtown room
- Live screen printing for one sponsor design across a busy show aisle.
- Live DTF when the art is full color or every badge wants a name on the shirt.
- Live hat bar for a hotel reception or an arena suite.
- Promo & hard goods for totes a convention crowd carries all day.
The Strip District starts where the convention center ends. Across the Allegheny is the North Shore; Oakland and the South Side are a short drive out.
Each station needs about 10×10 ft and two dedicated 120V/20A circuits. At the convention center, those circuits come through the show's electrical order.
The gear ships from Fullerton and the crew lands a day early, so a Downtown date is best booked six to ten weeks out.
